Gus Kiyoshi Tsuda, 87, of Yuba City passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, with his family at his side.|
Gus was born on January 8, 1927, in Yuba City to Kantaro and Nami Tsuda. The Tsuda family was relocated to Tule Lake during World War II and returned to Yuba City after the war. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War and was awarded a Purple Heart Medal. Gus married Yuriko Inouye and they farmed in the Tudor area then moved into Yuba City upon retirement. They were happily married for 36 years until Yuriko passed away.
Gus enjoyed playing golf after retirement and he was a Sacramento Kings fan. He loved his family, friends, neighborhood, and the Yuba City/Marysville area. He devotedly cared for his daughter, Shirley, until his passing.
He is survived by his children, Sharon Koga (Tom) of Elk Grove, CA, Doug Tsuda (Dorie) of Sacramento, CA, and Shirley Tsuda of Yuba City, CA; grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, and Eric Koga, of Elk Grove, CA; sister, Betty Kochi of Yuba City, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial service has been held.
