Jack Donald Trimble, 85, passed away on August 21, 2014 at his residence in Grimes, CA. He was born to Stella (Hall) and Lawrence Trimble on February 15, 1929 in Wichita, Kansas.
He was a Grimes resident for nearly 40 years. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a proud veteran and earned the Victory Medal during his service. Jack was employed by the State of California, Cal Trans for 19 years. From there he moved on to water resources. He was a welding engineer and traveled the world. Jack's proudest achievement was the fact that he had the first welding on the moon through Aero Jet Corporation. Jack was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He spent his retirement on the Sacramento River salmon fishing with his wife Margie. There was always a fish story to be told. His love and devotion to family was unending.
Jack is survived by his wife of 39 years, Margie; Sister Donna Mae Hines; Children Barry and Valerie; Step-children Richard Ellison (Nancy), Shaunne Harriger (Bob), Teresa Wellock & Karen Marks; Grandchildren Jim, Carolyn, Wendy, Brian, Eli, Kirsten, Joshua, Sarah, Erin, Emily, Brandon, Tiffany, Luke and Thomas; Great-Grandchildren, Zachary, Melissa, Katelyn, Rachel, Amber, Michael, Andrew, Levi, Matthew, Piper, Xander, Liberty, Lucy, Leann, Shayleigh and Zeke; Great-Great Grandchildren Jade, Bowen & Micah; Along with numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Laurie; brothers Ralph & Larry.
He was followed in death by his loving companion "Sugar" on Aug. 25, 2014.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Grimes Scout Cabin located at 15 4th Street in Grimes, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Jack's name to the Grimes Civic Association at P.O. Box 202, Grimes CA 95950 or the Grimes Ladies Aid Society, Grimes CA 95950.
