Willard J. Story

Willard J. Story, 60, died Tues., Apr. 16, 2013 at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center. Funeral mass will be 11 AM Fri., Apr. 19 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Visitation begins at 5 PM Thurs., Apr. 18 at Miller Funeral Home Valley View Chapel, where the family will greet friends from 5-7 PM and a wake service and rosary starts at 7 PM. Arrangements are through George Boom Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; 5 children, Jeremiah "J.J." (Jacque) Story, Silverdale, WA, Matthew Story, Canton, Elizabeth "Lisa" (Lee) Erickson, Sturgis, Steven Story, Sioux Falls, Michele (Travis) Bornitz, Carthage, SD; 2 grandchildren, Natalie Story, Landon Story; and 6 sisters, Mary Jo (Byron) Lambert, Sioux Falls, Beverly (Jerry) Campbell, Mesa, AZ, Billie (Jim) Quinn, Renner, Janice (Paul) Bjorum, Boise, ID, Sharon (Nathan) Johnson, Clarks Grove, MN, and Audrey (fiancé, Guy LeBlanc) Anderson, Albert Lea, MN. Dear Sharon and children,

Our prayers are with you and your family. We will always remember Willard as a man with sense of humor and dedication he had with involvement of church and scouting. My sons will be forever greatful of times your husband and father spent in scouting events being not only a teacher to them but in most cases like a second father. He will be greatly missed....
