Cheryl D. Jacobson, 56 of Sioux Falls, passed away Sunday October 20, 2013 after a long courageous battle with MS and cancer. Public visitation begins at 3:00 pm with the family greeting friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, October 23 at Miller Funeral Home, 13th & Main Ave. Private Graveside services will be Thursday at Hills of Rest Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Dougherty Hospice House.
Cheryl Dawn Jacobson, daughter of Le Roy and Lois (Edwards) Jacobson, was born October 3, 1957 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She grew up on a farm near Ellis, South Dakota and received her education in Sioux Falls.
Cheryl had a love for design, decorating, and antiques, which she incorporated in her career in home furnishings. She continued to work until March of 2013.
Survivors include her long time love, David Rypkema, a daughter, Leah Leisinger, a son, Bradley Leisinger, 3 grandchildren, Andrew, Austin and Ashleigh, all of Sioux Falls, a sister, Carol Brower, Humboldt, SD, and 2 brothers, Ronald Jacobson, and Ray Jacobson, of Sioux Falls.
Her parents, Le Roy and Lois Jacobson, preceded her in death.
