Janice Dollman, Sioux Falls, SD, died June 9, 2014, in Sioux Falls. She was 73.

Janice Evelyn Johnson was born in Clay County, SD, on April 30, 1941, to Hebert and Alberta (Hustrulid) Johnson. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1959. Janice worked for Getty Abstract in Sioux Falls.

On February 5, 1966, Janice was united in marriage to Kenneth Dollman. Janice became a homemaker and loving mother. In 1968, they moved to Phoenix, AZ. Years later in 1991, they moved to Platte, SD, where Janice started and ran a successful greenhouse business. In 1998, the couple moved back to Sioux Falls.

In the early days, Janice enjoyed camping and fishing with Ken. A talented seamstress, she hand sewed her own clothing, draperies, and other items. In her free time, Janice loved to go dancing at the VFW and area dances. Blessed with an outgoing spirit, she loved to visit with family and friends. Described by her children as the "best mom in the world," Janice will be forever cherished.

Grateful for having shared her life are her sons, Jim Dollman (Jamie), Rapid City, SD, Greg Dollman (Theresa Kreth), Kearney, NE; daughter, Nancy Gottschalk (Chuck), Rapid City, SD; grandchildren, Ronda (Darren), Dustin (Ashley), Taylor, Josh, Analiesa (John), Mercedes, Tammy, Holly, Heather, Jessica (Peter), Eric; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gordon Johnson (Carole), Sioux Falls, SD, Douglas Johnson (Sherry); and her sister, Dianne Miller (John), Spearfish, SD. In addition to her husband, Ken, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00am Friday, June 13, 2014, at Peace Lutheran Church, 5509 W. 41st Street. Interment will be at the Benton Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation begins noon, Thursday, with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 Thursday evening at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue.
