Robert H. Cain

Robert H. "Bob" Cain, age 94, of Richmond, Indiana, died January 18 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, Indiana.

He was born April 5, 1919, to Thomas Christopher and Armina Ann (Whitmore) Cain and was a resident of Wayne County most of his life.

Mr. Cain attended Richmond High School and was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during World War II, where he was part of a crew flying bombing missions in the North Pacific. He also served in the Korean Conflict. He married Sylvia Joan "Jo" Brandley on January 15, 1942.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Gail Cain (Sam Hasegawa), Sioux Falls, South Dakota, his son Craig Cain, Richmond, Indiana, four grandchildren, Salim Cain (Heather), San Jose, California, and Jenny, Cody, and Will Cain, Nashville, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Cain, and his brothers Jim, Onie, Chelmer, and R.C. Cain.

A private burial service will be held in Boston, Indiana.
