Madison, SD - William "Bill" Treloar, age 63, died at Bethel Lutheran Home on November 25, 2013.
He was born on September 27, 1950 at Madison, SD to Virgil and Mary (Hart) Treloar. He grew up in Madison graduating from Madison High School in 1969 and Dakota State College in 1973. He served in the Peace Corps in South Africa before returning to South Dakota in 1976. He taught industrial arts in Canistota and Spear, MN and worked in the Danville Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville, Iowa as a vocational therapist. He returned to Madison and worked with his dad in construction.
He was a former member of the St Thomas Knights of Columbus and lectored and ushered at St Thomas Aquinas Church.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 29, 2013 at St Thomas Aquinas Church with Rev DeWayne Kayser officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his mother - Mary of Madison. Two brothers - Jim of Rushville, NE and Jack (Vicky) of LeMars, IA. Two sisters - Jean (Ray) Wenk of Hartford and Joan (Rich) Leafstedt of Sioux Falls. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father - Virgil.
There will be a parish scripture service at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
