Our condolences to the Arneson family at the loss of their mother. I was fortunate to be taken in as one of these student guests the first summer that I came to the US and we have kept in touch ever since. Both Dr. Arneson and Mrs. Arneson were very kind and generous souls and helped many people through their lives. I got to know their children and kept in contact with them through the years and that is how I learnt of Mrs. Arneson passing away. I had a long chat with her (our chats were always long) a few weeks before she had left for Florida and she seemed hale and hearty then. However, she did sound lonely after Dr. Arneson had passed away a couple of years ago and did not have her usual zest for life. She was always proud of her children and adored all her grandchildren.

My condolences to your family in the loss of your mom. The name Arneson caught my attention. Although our families do not know each other, in reading your mom's eulogy, I believe your father must have been my father's surgeon back in 1959 at then Sioux Valley Hospital. Daddy's cancer had progressed too far & he passed away at the age of 45; but at the age of 16, I remember your father as a kind and caring doctor who walked with a slight limp. I've often wondered if he was still alive. My mom passed away at the age of 93 in 2005. I trust the family will accept this as heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your mom, and a memory of your father.
