November 28, 2016, 69-year-old mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Diane Rose (Novak) Roth left this earth on her journey to eternal life with Christ, our Lord.

Diane was born on June 29, 1947 in Pender, NE to Harry and Darlene A.E. (Brehmer) Novak. As the family grew, they moved to a small farm just north of Hurley, SD. Her brothers include, Robert "Bob" and Alice Novak of Sioux Falls, Merlin Novak of Lennox, Duane and Sandy Novak of Sioux Falls, Glenn Novak of Hurley, Mark and Rita Novak of Lennox, Leonard Novak of Lennox, and a sister, Melody Novak of Hurley.

She is survived by her six children, Lonnie (Kathy) Roth of Faribault, MN, Lorrie (Tim) Wiebelhaus of Letcher, SD, Ronnie (Renee) of Alexandria, Karmon (John) Hoiten of Canistota, Kevin Roth of Mitchell and Danny (Michel) Roth of Alexandria; sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Diane loved the life of being a housewife, living on the farm, tending to a large garden, cooking up meals and baking from scratch. She also adored all the extra time spent with her grandchildren.

Diane was preceded in death by both her parents, brothers, Bob, Duane, and Leonard, and grandsons, Colan and Michael.

Visitation for Diane will be held Friday, December 2, starting at 5:30 pm followed by a prayer service at 7 pm at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, December 3 at 10 am at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Alexandria, SD.
