Irene Beverly Fladmark, 90, of Selinsgrove, PA, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2017.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday January 6 at Sharon Lutheran Church in Selinsgrove, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow the service at the church. Pator Doll of Sharon Lutheran Church will lead the service. Funeral arrangements are provided by Seebold Funeral Services.

Irene was born in Colton, South Dakota to Lewis and Torbjor (Tveidt) Larson on September 26, 1926. She graduated from Colton High School in1944 and continued on to receive a B.A. in Music and Secondary Education in 1948 from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Irene was married to Kenneth on June 8, 1949. They were married for 67 years.

Irene was a devoted wife and mother. She was an active member at First Lutheran Church and later Sharon Lutheran Church, where she directed various choirs for many years. She loved music and was an accomplished singer and pianist. She was a member of SAI music sorority as well as a founding member of the Susquehanna Valley Chorale. She enjoyed her family, reading, flower gardening, crossword puzzles, and entertaining. She was also actively involved in volunteering for Sunbury Hospital, Sun Home Health, and many other organizations.

Irene is survived by her husband Kenneth, her children Kristine Bogar and spouse Richard Bogar, Bloomsburg,PA, Thomas Fladmark and spouse LuAnn Rebuck, Sunbury,PA, Martha Roth and spouse John Roth, Clinton, NJ, and Amy Waldkoenig and spouse Gilson Waldkoenig, Gettysburg, PA. She is also survived by her sister LaVonne Larson of Dell Rapids, S.D. and many nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren are Megan Leeds, Andrew Bogar, Olivia Fladmark, Lars Bogar, Kirstin Waldkoenig, Rebecca Roth, Phoebe Roth and Jonah Waldkoenig. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Anna, Samuel, Siri and Sadie.

Irene is preceded in death by her parents, Four brothers ( Lester, Marvin, Dwayne and Grant Larson) and three half sisters (Ethel, Laura and Viola).
