Justina Two Eagle Obituary
Justina Two Eagle

The spirit of Justina Rae Two Eagle, age 19, of Sioux Falls, SD was set free on Tuesday, December 23, 2013 at Children's Care Hospital & School. She passed after an amazing 14 year battle of survival following an automobile accident which left her paralyzed and on a ventilator since age four. She followed Christopher Reeve's journey with paralysis and was well aware that she lived four years longer than Superman. Justina (adoringly known as Princess, Sister, and Princess J) battled a series of infections and organ failure that took her from the arms of her mother. Physicians, nurses and caregivers at Sanford Children's and CCHS provided excellent, often life-saving, and always loving care. She was princess of the castle and queen of Children's Care. Justina was born in Pierre, lived in Parmalee/He-Dog and is the daughter of Janice Clairmont and Leland Two Eagle, Sr. She attended school at Children's Care, Hawthorne, Laura Wilder, Edison Middle School, and Lincoln High School. The family acknowledges and thanks the Sioux Falls School District for the accommodations they have made for her over the years. She planned to graduate, attend technical college and pursue a career in criminal justice which was her passion. Justina loved: arts & crafts, making things, baking, cooking, eating out, ordering in, Girl Scouts, outings, the Mall, new art supplies, organizing things, playing computer games, listening to police scanners, checking Wanted lists, scrapbooking, playing with her baby cousin, babies, Hunter Hayes, Candy Crush, Akon, Lincoln High School football, and hanging out with friends, volunteers at CCHS, and family. She cherished the visits from family from Rosebud and big family dinners. Justina is survived by her parents, Janice Clairmont and Leland Two Eagle, Sr., her brothers River Bowers and Keegan Two Eagle, her half-brothers Lowell Two Eagle, Leland Two Eagle, Jr., and Layton Two Eagle, cousin-brothers Gregg Brave Bird, JJ Clairmont, and Deron Wood, Jr., and Great Grandmother Emmaline Eagle Bear. She is predeceased by her aunt Tina Fool Bull, her grandmother Ethel Fool Bull, grandmother Dorothy Shot With Two Arrows, uncle Gregg Fool Bull, and her three unborn siblings. So many people are thankful for having Justina touch their lives and will miss her amazing vivacious personality, love of life, sympathetic listening ears, bossy, neat and tidy self. Visitation with family present will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, SD on Friday, December 27, from 11 AM to 1 PM. Procession from Rooks Funeral Home, Mission SD to Norris at 11 AM. Saturday, December 28. Wake services will be held at Ben Looking White Hall, Norris SD on Saturday and Sunday.
