Kaye Erickson Obituary

Audrey "Kaye" Erickson

Audrey Erickson "Kaye", age 72, of Chandler passed from us on February 10, 2013. Always the devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, and sister. Kaye leaves behind her loving Husband, Oliver; Sister, Cheri (Jim); Children, Chuck (Erin), Rob (Pam), Kathy (Eric), Scott (Trish); and most cherished Grandchildren, Tigeria, Shae, Jordan, Kyler, Jakob, Justin, Jocelyn, Hunter, Katelyn, Jessica, and Sophia; along with many relatives and dear friends. Kaye was born in Spencer, IA; graduated high school in Arnolds Park, IA; graduated from nursing school in Sioux City IA; at which time she met and fell in love with Oliver. Shortly thereafter she settled and raised her family in Sioux Falls, SD. She was a talented nurse for McKennon Hospital, tumor registrar for the State of Minnesota, eventually retiring from the University of Minnesota. Kaye had a love for medical research and advancement. Upon retirement Kaye and Oliver moved to Chandler Arizona to spend as many moments with their children and grandchildren. Kaye enjoyed reading, baking her famous cookies, but her true passion was her family. We will miss you!

Gail Kvernmoe here, still miss that gal and often think of all the fun we would have had in AZ had she lived. She was a soul mate. I think of her and wonder how her family is doing. I was truly blessed to know her. Sometimes when we shared an office, we would be laughing so hard, people would come it to see what was going on. We will meet again and it will be joyous!

Ollie & family, my sincere condolences for the loss of Kaye. I had the privilege of working with her at the MDH. She was a mentor to many, especially for me. I will always remember our many "chats" of life in general. Fondly, Lynda Diedrich

Olllie and family,
Thinking of you at this sad time. Kaye was a gem. I have so many fond memories of our times together. We shared an office when she worked at the MN Dept of Health and shared so many laughs and good times. Also spent a couple of falls making lefsa together. I will miss her so much. Gail Kvernmoe
