Robert F. 'Bob' Rumbolz

Robert F. 'Bob' Rumbolz, age 84, of Newcastle, WY, passed away May 18, 2013, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Bob was born on August 5, 1928, in Ethan, SD to Ernest and Effie (Klotz) Rumbolz. He married the love of his life, Norma Hoyt on April 16, 1948, and they had just celebrated 65 years together. They farmed in Nebraska and South Dakota and went into business with his parents at the Ethan Oil Company in Ethan. They lived and worked in Seattle and Tacoma, WA, from 1959 until 1962 at which time they moved back to Ethan and he again worked for the Ethan Oil Company. They went into farming from 1965 until 1972 at which time Bob and Norma moved to Lester, IA, where he was co-owner/manager of a feed and fertilizer plant before retiring to Custer, SD, and then moving to Newcastle, WY. No matter where he lived Bob was active in the community and loved being around people. During his retirement and move to Newcastle, Bob drove for Coach America picking up and dropping off train crews. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife, Norma of Newcastle; son and daughter-in -law, Reginald and Sharon Rumbolz of Newcastle, grandchildren, Berry Rumbolz of Newcastle; Brittany (James) Osborne of Newcastle; two great grandchildren, Autumn Mills and Cameron Mills both of Newcastle; and brother, James (Nancy) Rumbolz of Sioux Falls, SD.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ernest Rumbolz, Jr.; and sister, Donalee Rumbolz.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
