Gary L. Polly - February 25, 1943 - December 16, 2012

Passed away at age 69 at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. He was the husband of Bonnie K. (Bowman) Polly. The couple celebrated their 46 years of marriage on October 21st of this year. Born in Sioux Falls, SD, he was the son of the late Gerald and Martha (Tieszen) Polly. He was employed as Manager of the Nebraska Distributing Company for 25 years, until his retirement in 2002. While employed, he served full time in the National Guard for 20 years and retired with full honors. Later in his retirement he worked part-time as a "Greeter" for Walmart. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Elkhorn NE. and The Bell Flyers Club, Millard NE. He was a graduate of Washington High School, Sioux Falls, SD and attended college at University of South Dakota, Vermillion SD and Dakota Westland, Mitchell SD. In addition to his wife Bonnie, he is survived by his 4 daughters; Angelia and husband Greg Justice, of Hanover, MN; Lynn and husband Todd Dillon of Arlington, NE; Susan and husband David Gant of Kingston Springs, TN; Kim and husband William Tittle of Douglasville, Georgia; 1 son Todd and wife Karen Polly of Elkhorn NE; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings sister Cheryl and husband Mike Hluchy of Sioux Falls, SD, sister Beth and husband Joe Bott of Sioux Falls, SD; brother David and wife Maria Polly of North Pole, AK ; 1 niece and 5 nephews. Memorials to the church and Bethany Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association Midlands Chapter designate Respite Care.
