Ben Eddie Gayken

Ben E. Gayken, 88, died Wed., May 1, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born in 1925 and grew up in Lennox, He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a concession and carnival ride owner and traveled extensively around the U.S. with various carnivals and circuses. He was a member of the Sioux Falls VFW, Lennox Legion and the Showman's League of American. Survivors: companion of 35 years, Garldyne "Candy" Clare; daughters: JoAnn Pearcy, Lakewood, CO and Penny Nance, Sioux Falls and four grandchildren. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Dindot-Klusmann Funeral Home, Lennox Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Dindot-Klusmann with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. Online go to
