James R. Zoellner died Sunday July 14th at his home in Brandon with his family near him. He was born December 14, 1944 to parents Charles and Ceceila Zoellner. He graduated from Magnolia High School in 1962.
He was united in marriage to Dianne Remme on July 2, 1965. He worked on the family farm and then in sales of truck parts for many years. He retired in 2007 then worked part-time at the Brandon Car Wash because he enjoyed visiting with people.
Grateful for having shared his life is his wife Dianne, a daughter Sara, and her husband Joe Hyser of Sioux Falls, SD a daughter Angela, and her husband Brian Wrightsman of Brandon, SD a son Jason and his wife Teresa of Ogallala, NE and his youngest daughter Rebecca and her husband Timothy Smith of Brandon, SD. Jim was so proud of his family and his eleven grandchildren. Megan Johnson and her husband Derek and Cody Taggart, Spencer, Brady and Jennika Wrightsman, Zachary, Tyler, Abigayle, and Lilliana Zoellner, Madysne and Jack Smith. Also grateful for sharing his life is his only sibling Dennis Zoellner of Sioux Falls, SD.
In addition he is survived by his sister in law Carla and Doug Ennenga of Kanaranzi, MN and brother in law Dennis and Norma Remme of Magnolia, MN and dear mother-in-law Arlene Remme of Luverne, MN, Richard and Donna Zoellner, Valley Springs,SD and other cousins in the area.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ceceila Zoellner and father- in-law Walter Remme.
A memorial service will begin at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Risen Savior Catholic Church in Brandon, SD. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 16 at George Boom Funeral Chapel in Brandon with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
