Larry Prokop Obituary
Larry Prokop, Sr., 61 of Tea died suddenly Sunday, Feb. 9, at his home from an apparent heart attack. He was born in 1952. He had been married to Dianna Martin. In 1996 he married Kathy Kautz. He worked at John Morrell, Carisle Plastics, RMS Roller-Grinder, Highway Improvements and currently at Sioux Steel in Lennox. Survivors: wife Kathy of Tea; children: Larry Prokop, Jr. and Amy Prokop both of Sioux Falls, Chad MacRunnels, Tea, Michele Murray, Dell Rapids, Jennifer MacRunnels, Sioux Falls and Brandi (Randall) Yates, Tea; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings: Bobby Prokop and Billy Prokop, both of Sioux City, Gary Prokop, Council Bluffs, Debbie Bird and Karen Krissel, both of Canton Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 at the Dindot-Klusmann Funeral Home, Lennox. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday with the family present, also at the funeral home. Online go to dindotklusmann.com

My husband and I used to work with Larry. We and all of his other coworkers loved working with Larry because he always had a joke and especially always had a smile. He was a very hard worker and could even outwork a lot of the young guys. Everyday when he would be getting done with work he would make sure to call his wife, Cathy. I hope that some of Larry's everyday ways will be carried on by the people he knew. Our prayers go out to his family and friends.
