Pamela Cool Obituary
Pamela Kay Cool, died April 25, 2017, at the age of 67 from pancreatic cancer, at Sioux Falls, SD. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James Elliott and Dr. Danielle Lila (Tupa) Cool; her mother, Norma Jean (Kepplinger) Schamber; her mother-in-law, Betty (Cahill) Cool; her two brothers-in-law, Tom Cool (Sharon) and Dan Cool (Linda); her cousins, Jan and John Fox; as well as many friends and other relatives. Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, Larry. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Her burial will follow at 3:00pm at Platte City Cemetery in Platte, SD. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017, at Miller West Funeral Chapel (6200 W. 41st Street), from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Eidsness Funeral Home of Brookings is handling the arrangements.

I think of Mrs. Cool often. I had her for Creative Writing my senior year in high school and still have the portfolio of work she helped guide me to create, 20 years later. She helped me feel seen and filed my love of writing. I still remember her voice.

I was just talking about Mrs. Cool the other day. Her style of teaching was as interesting as her hairdo, and that's a compliment! I won't ever forget her. My condolences to her family. Please know that she's remembered fondly.
