Robert Franklin Murray, 64, passed away on Septeber 2, 2013. He was born on March 4, 1949. Robert 'Bob' married his high school sweetheart, Jane Anne Buurma, on May 31, 1969. Bob made his way up the ladder from stock boy to lead merchandiser in the Volume Shoe Corporate Office in the 70's in Topeka, Kansas. He was known as a 'people' person and he could spot talent and charisma walking through a mall or a restaurant. In an attempt to give his family new experiences, he sought out a position that would allow his family to experience New Orleans, Louisiana, and later Houston, Texas. Bob worked as a district supervisor for Payless Shoe Source in Houston, Texas. But his priority was always family. His #1 goal in life was to give his children the best he could. Bob and Jane had two children, Robert Franklin Murray, III, known to all as Bobby, and Cassandra Lynn Murray. Bob was a proud father and grandfather and was known by his 7 grandchildren as 'Po Po.' It is with great joy that we celebrate both Bob's life and his free spirit as well as his final trip home, to be with God in heaven as he is now whole once again.......

Jane, Bobby and Cassandra,
I was so saddened when I received the notice of Bob's passing. All of you know how special your family has been to me over all these years. Bob was so kind and I will always cherish the time I spent with all of you in Topeka. We all mourn his loss, but I know we will also continue to smile at the special memories of Bob as husband, father, grandfather and friend. May God comfort you and bring you peace.
Love always,
Tina

Cassandra, Bobby, and Jane,
May the Lord bring you comfort during your time of sorrow. I remember babysitting when Tina was not available and the warm spirit and friendly smile that Bob displayed.
Be blessed in the Lord!
Yours in Christ,
