Paula Dorothy Wadleigh, 63, of Atascocita, formerly of Manchester, New Hampshire, returned to her Father in Heaven on Thursday, January 24, 2013. Born March 31, 1949, she was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Joseph Perry and Mary-Frances Foley Perry, her in-laws Richard Frank Wadleigh Sr. and Louise Urban Wadleigh, her sister Mary-Frances "Cissy" Blum, and recently her brother BJ Perry. Paula is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard "Dick" Frank Wadleigh Jr., the love of her life, her daughter Paula Tuck and husband Michael of The Woodlands, son Richard "Richie" Wadleigh III of Atascocita, son James-Ernest "Jim-E" Smillie Wadleigh and wife Chelsea of Half Moon Bay, CA, and seven grandchildren: Patricia "Katharine" Tuck, Kristin "Michaela" Tuck, Michael "Lane" Tuck II, Benjamin Louis Tuck, Robert Jonathan Tuck, Austin James Wadleigh, and Carson Richard Wadleigh, sister Susan LaPointe of New York, seven nieces and nephews. Paula graduated Katy Gibbs of Boston, and was secretary to the Corporate President of Borden Dairy in Houston. Her life was a life of service. She served many callings in her church, her favorites being compassionate service leader, seminary teacher, and achievement day leader. She had a soft spot for the missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In the community, Paula organized charity golf tournaments and was an integral part of Women of Walden, and was honored as "Woman of the Year". In lieu of flowers, the family requests a unit of blood be donated to the local blood center in her honor. Paula's life was extended through such generous gifts of others. She hated "cut flowers as they die." She always said it was the thought that counts and she would rather get one rose twelve times than a dozen roses once. A memorial was held to celebrate her life on Saturday, January 26 at Paula's church at 19618 Atascocita Oaks Dr., Humble, Texas.
