For Nell Yaksh, the phrase "home is where the heart is" was not a cliche. While her husband's career in the construction industry moved the family across Georgia, Florida and Texas more than a dozen times, and once across the Atlantic Ocean, she always found a way to make a home for the family. I am not a family member. Or, remembered by the family at all, with the possible exceptions of Mr. Yaksh and maybe Tony Lee.
Nell Yaksh was one fine, loving, caring person who I greatly respected. She took me under her wing at the company parties we attended together. She and Mr. Yaksh got married the same year I was born 1943. Those were still the war years and the whole country was changing. Like the Yaksh's my dad built us a small trailer and we moved from construction job to job. My mother (like Mrs. Yaksh) was bound and determined to keep us all together. But, this is about Nell Yaksh..not about me or my family..but. because she was the lady she was..she is family to me..she will always be the beautiful lady in the black dress with the one diamond on the thin chain around her neck and smile on her face who outshone evey other lady there. Who came over to me and whispered, "Marilyn, Tony told me we were spending too much time talking together and that I need to circulate. Will you come with me and introduce me to everyone here?"
I am hoping that when I pass on that she comes over to me and whispers, "Marilyn, welcome, I have been waiting for you. Come with me so that we can introduce you to everyone.". God bless and keep you, Nell Yaksh.

Dear Yaksh Family,
This is a message of comfort to you for the loss of a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. She lived her life happy, and you don't find that in many people.
In his famous Sermon on the Mount, Jesus describes what it takes to be happy. He states: “Happy are those” who (1) are conscious of their spiritual need, (2) mourn, (3) are mild-tempered, (4) hunger and thirst for righteousness, (5) are merciful, (6) are pure in heart, (7) are peaceable, (8) are persecuted for righteousness' sake, and (9) are reproached and persecuted for his sake. (Matt 5:3-11)
Our condolences go out to your family.

Please accept my sincerest condolences. May you find comfort in knowing that all her good works, all her support and love will not be forgotten by all the lives that she touched and most importantly from our Creator, the God of all comfort. May you receive comfort and strength during this difficult time from your family, friends and from our Creator through His word and prayer. Heb. 6:10

Romans 4:17 says: "just as it is written: “I have appointed you a father of many nations.”) This was in the sight of the One in whom he had faith, even of God, who makes the dead alive and calls the things that are not as though they were." May this comforting thought give your family peace and hope in this time of grief.
