My heart is still bleeding, my eyes full of tears...l think of you often. Whenever l talk to friends who know you, it is impossible not to talk about you. Howard, you affected so many people in a positive way and in many cases you helped to make drastic changes in their lives. Those are the people who miss you most and wish that you were still here. Now we know how very special you are. I think we always knew but since you left, it is really hitting home. I pray that Teresa, Doris, Candance, & Mrs Creecy Sr have been blessed with the feeling of peace in this pass year. I know that is what you want.
This message is my way of communicating with you...l hope you can still hear me. I will never forget your caring ways toward others especially those of us (family & friends) who needed you most. I miss you and will always love you.

Howard, l think about you daily. I feel very lost without you here. You were so important to a tremendous amount of people, but you were so very special to me! I have known you and Teresa Jr for years. I helped you...you helped me. We were always in tune with each other. Teresa was a joy to have in my class at Mays HS & she always respected me because of you. I pray that you & God will watch over her since she is now down here without you. Please look for my parents & greet them them as you always do. They are very special too...& they probably found you first when they heard me crying so hard about you!!! I felt so broken. My heart is still so very full since your passing. I will never be the same. I love you so much. I hope that heaven is satisfied with you running around like the town cryer or the mayor! You know...still preachin' and talkin' with folk' as usual. I know your crown has many jewels but i'd love to see how stylish your robe might be! I love
& miss you.

I was honored to meet this man hours before his death. He greeted everyone there with a kiss and a handshake.
I sung a song that night for that friend's wife birthday and as he waved us all goodbye I had no idea it was the last "live" song he'd hear on this side. Many blessings to your family during the holidays. Find strength in knowing he worked until the day was done, literally!

This is the first Thanksgiving without the Reverend Howard Creecy, Jr. present on the earth. Please know my prayers are with and for you as continue to celebrate his life and legacy. Imagine the time of celebration he is having with family and friends in his new home...absent from the body, present with the Lord.

To the mother, sister Candice, wife, family, membership, and friends, I am tremendously saddened by the premature passing from this life to the other of my friend -- this our dearly beloved brother in the Christian ministry. He was surely an annointed Prince Of Peace, the Apple of his father's eye, and a Man Of God in the truest sense of the word -- a sharp dresser, with an engaging personality, and the hereditary gifts of gab, leadership, and preaching. He is missed. (Jim Millner, Sr., Founder, Temple Of The Beautiful Gate, Birmingham, AL 205-324-4922). "Well done, my good and faithful servant".

My wife and I became members of Olivet 8 years ago under the leadership of Howard W. Creecy Sr., and upon his passing we had comfort in the fact that we had a spiritual leader that unmatched in his teachings of the word of GOD. We have served as ushers proudly and have always bragged about our Pastor's teachings and accomplishments to all of our friends. He had a wit like no other, a wisdom beyound his years, and an influence that stretched throughout the land. Our hearts are heavy and we are just hurting right now, but we know GOD wanted his angel home.
Our prayers are with the entire Creecy family, especially Lady Yolanda. And like Pastor said each and every Sunday "WE LOVE YOU TOO".

It is with sadness that I find it necessary to write this message. As a member of Olivet and also a friend of Rev. Dr. Creecy, my heart is heavy. Mother Creecy, First Lady Yolanda, Doris, Candace, and Theresa you are women of grace and dignity. Kennedy you have wonderful role models to guide you into womanhood and I know Pastor Creecy is embracing and watching over each of you. I know I will miss him greatly, he was a great Bible teacher, pastor and friend. I will always remember his openness and willingness to help all in need. He was both jovial and serious, when appropriate. If there is anything I can do, please call on me at any time. I am committed to my membership at Olivet and you can rest assured I intend to be a part of efforts to keep Olivet as Pastor Creecy would have it. May your faith sustain each of you through this difficult time.
May God fill you all with Blessings.

Oh' can't turn around. We've come this far by faith." Have faith, trust in The Lord and live your life to live again. Be Blessed.

My condolences the the Creey family. Dr. Creecy Sr. lived with my grandfather for a while in Mobile. My father has shared many fond memories of those times. I knew Howard from a distance here in Atlanta yet always felt close to him. We shared a friend here, Donald Tyus, who passed on some years ago. Donald was a great cook and Howard and I shared many meals at his house. I'm sure Howard is once again enjoying some of Donalds' potato salad. Remember, "Life goes on and we go with it."

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

You knew me as a little girl. You were a part of our family and we so loved and adored you. I always loved to see you because I could count on a beautiful smile, hug and sweet good scents. You did the eulogy for my Grandfather which was so nice. You comforted us and reminded us you were always there for us. Throughout the years, when our paths would cross, I would get the same: hug, smile and sweet good scents. Our paths crossed again just last year and of course, I got the same including more 'adult' conversation since I as you stated 'am all grown up'. I have always admired you and viewed you as a extraordinary man. Your energy nourished many along with your words, dedication, leadership and wisdom. I understand why God annointed you to teach and I thank you for accepting in order for us to be blessed with your presence in our lives. You will be remembered and missed dearly. God bless the entire Creecy family. I pray for comfort, peace and nourishment for all of you. Allow his legacy to continue to motivate and touch lives positively. Now rest Howard and enjoy heaven!

My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. Although it has been some years since we talked, I often think of the conversations you shared with me about your brother, Howard. I am deeply saddened by the news of Howards' passing. He and Gardner were classmates of mine at Douglass High. Mrs. Creecy (Sr.) was my favorite teacher. I made dresses for Doris' wedding. I felt a closeness to the Creecy family because of Mrs. Creecy's interest in my academic development and her mentorship in Home Economics.
Howard and I were casual acquaintances. He was a popular and well respected young man during the time that I knew him.
To the entire Creecy family, I cannot imagine the pain of your loss, but please know that each of your names have been called in prayer that you will live your lives worthy to reunite with your loved ones in the New Jerusalem.
