I knew Peter as a classmate during our time at Edgewater High School in Orlando, FL 1958-1961. Unfortunately, never saw him again after graduation. He was a very nice guy and a very bright guy and it looks like he was a very successful naval officer. My sincere sympathies go out to his family during this time of loss and sadness

I am deeply sorry to learn of Pete's death. When I sent an email this morning and it was rejected, my greatest fear was realized.
I didn't know Pete well. My sister and I met him while attending CPAC 2012. He informed me of his illness when I wrote him earlier this year asking if he would be attending the conference. We will miss his wit and wisdom, and I am truly sorry for his family's loss.
Please know that I will make a contribution to Wounded Warriors in his memory. God bless this Patriot. I know he has been welcomed home.
My best to all those who loved him.
In deepest sympathy,
Valerie Rhodes

While I'll always remember Pete for his passion toward politics, my favorite memory is one I missed. To this day, AJ can't go buy Twin Bridges without saying, "That's where I caught my first fish with Granpa." Thank you Pete for a memory that lasts forever.
