AKINS, Jeffie Mrs. Jeffie Rodriguez Akins, 78, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jessie Akins, and brothers, Royal Akins and Harold Akins. She is survived by her children, Theresa Valenti, Buford, GA, Pete and Joyce Rodriguez, Whiting, NJ, Patricia Kelly, Flowery Branch, GA and Ronnie and Pamela Rodriguez, Buford, GA; eight grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Mary and Verdis Puckett, Buford, GA; brother, Roger and Charlsie Akins, Flowery Branch, GA; sister-in-law, Voncile Akins, Athens, GA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Akins was born September 5, 1935 in Danielsville, GA. She was retired from Scientific Atlanta after ten years of service. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Buford, GA. There will be no memorial service at Mrs. Akins' request. Flowers will be accepted and may be sent to the residence of Patricia Kelly, 5123 Stately Oaks Drive, Flowery Branch, GA 30542 in memory of Jeffie Lou Akins (770) 965-8200.
