So hard to believe it has been 6 years since we lost you. Surprised to see the message in my email because just yesterday your memory came strong into my thoughts. Bringing a smile but also unable to stop that deep feeling of sadness. I didn't get to know you enough but what I did know made you very special. You were my nephew, Ben Geer's, roommate in school. You were the handsome bartender at Houstons that was always so affable & kind to our family, especially my young son. You were so much more too as anyone who knew you will attest. You are missed & we will never forget you.

Grateful the anniversary message arrived in my inbox- remembering Burke and times together in 10-11 makes me smile at the Gatsby-esque world it was. Magical and tragic, but full of laughter. Like many, I had more color in my life because of him.

First and foremost, my condolences to the Boger Family. I had the privilege to work with Burke at the River Room.
He was a young Frank Sinatra indeed. He had a raw gift from god to possess so many talents: musically, theatrically, but most importantly Humanly to every person he ever met. Burke enlightened my heart and all the many many people he met....Burke
I will miss you my Friend...

Burke will be so missed. He was so full of life and had a life time of helping others to laugh and enjoy life. I always think of him entertaining guests at his parents parties as a young child with a tux on--- I was also fortunate enough to hear his Christmas story on Christmas Eve many times. Romans 8:38-39 offers some comfort.

This is very sad news. Burke and I were friends at Westminster, and I still think about him. Just this weekend I was looking at a picture of him on Facebook, still marveling that he was one of the only people I knew who could confidently wear madras pants. Without his passion for theater and Monty Python, I don't think I ever would have become an actor. I remember so many weekends in middle school in the basement of his home, surrounded by posters from art galleries, quoting movies, putting on accents, and getting completely lost in our imaginations.

Dr. Burke Boger... the man, the legend. When I first moved to Atlanta he was one of the first to welcome me to the Buckhead neighbourhood and to award me the title of "Commodore" (one which I greatly enjoyed and made me sound far more refined and debonair that I actually am). I enjoyed many a good scotch with Burke and was continually amazed by the experiences and stories that he would share. He truly LIVED. I can only hope my candle will burn as brightly and touch as many souls as his. Here's to you Doctor!

As someone who knew Burke for several years, I always enjoyed his charming, smart, debonair demeanor. He will be missed for everything from playing the harmonica at 5P on a lively Friday night to bringing fun groups of friends to restaurants and other cool places in town, for his amazing conversational skills that could cover the mundane as well as the serious. He was liked and loved by many and will be missed. Blessings to your whole family.

Our hearts go out to you for losing Burke at such a young age and so soon after losing his dear mother, Harriet. We first came to know Burke when he roomed with my nephew, Ben Geer, at Episcopal High School. Because we live in Atlanta, we were fortunate enough to often see Burke and come to know his warm nature and wonderful humor that made him so special to his many friends and business associates. His zest for life lifted the spirits of many that knew him and although we celebrate his life, we cannot help but grieve his loss. Please accept our sincere & deepest sympathy and know we will be remembering Burke and your family in our prayers.
