Family-Placed Death Notice

ANSLEY, Betty BETTY JOYCE ANSLEY Betty Joyce Ansley, 80, of Cumming, Ga. died at her home on February 20, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Woodson and Alma Waites. Betty was the founder and owner of the Great American Cookie Company, a long-time member of Cumming Baptist Church, a member of the Red Hat Society, an avid golfer and, most important, a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Wilson of Ball Ground, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Wilson of Atlanta, GA; and Dana Wilson of Ball Ground, GA; and numerous friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Cumming Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum in Roswell. Betty will lie in-state at the church from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the (www.cancer.org or 800.ACS.2345).
