Family-Placed Death Notice

HILL, Clarence CLARENCE HILL Clarence Hill, first born son of the late Annie M. Hill and Walter Colbert, was born, Thursday evening June 17th, 1948, in Macon(Bibb Co.)Georgia. He entered into eternal rest early Sunday morning, March 3, 2013. Mr. Hill grew up in Bibb County, attending several elementary schools, subsequently finishing his earlier years at Green Street Elementary School, and his high school years at Peter G. Appling. Clarence began his collegiate years at Macon University and on June 20, 1967 Clarence joined the United States Marine Corp. In September of 1968, Clarence was discharged as Lance Corporal, after sustaining a significant injury during the Vietnam Conflict. After a lengthy period of rehabilitation, Clarence was back on his feet again. He relocated to Washington, D.C., and during this period he attended Howard University. He worked for a Department of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Postal Service, and the V.A. In December of 1970, he joined the U.S. Census Bureau, as an I.T. Specialist, and after 40 years, retired in April of 2012, due to medical reasons. Clarance was baptized in 1990, and he began his Ministry, and worked as a faithful member of the South Congregation/Jehovah's Witness/Kingdom Hall in Clinton, MD. His memory will forever be treasured by, sisters, Patricia Ann Walker (Warren) Fort Pierce, FL; Jeanie Mae Burkes (Samuel) Woodstock, GA; brother, Michael Keith Washington (Kitty) Macon, GA; Aunt, Rosa Lee Hightower, Woodbridge; V.A., and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Our beloved brother and confidant, will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial services and Repast, will be held at South Clinton Congregation / Kingdom Hall, 6000 Kirby Road, Clinton, MD, 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 14, 2013.
