Family-Placed Death Notice

Frank Beall Abbott, of Ocala, Florida died February 3, 2005. Born and raised in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan before transferring to the University of Miami where he received a degree in Architectural Engineering in 1957. He was a member of Phi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and Rotary International. Mr. Abbott belonged to various Architectural organizations. He had a passion for flying. He labored in love for more than a decade to build an open cockpit bi-plane, which he flew in 1992. He was a member of several flying clubs and model airplane clubs. He leaves behind Joan, his loving wife of 47 years, two daughters Jill Abbott de Vallette and Pam Abbott Lownsdale, their husbands, Kerry de Vallette of Dunwoody, GA; Jack Lownsdale of Littleton, CO, 6 grandchildren and his brother and sister-in-law, George and Jan Abbott along with one niece, two nephews and a wide circle of friends. Funeral services are planned for Monday, February 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody, GA. Interment will be in Ocala, Florida at a later date.
