Family-Placed Death Notice

ALEXANDER, Jimmy Jimmy A. Alexander of Lilburn, GA, born on Oct. 11, 1927 passed away on June 10, 2013 at age 85. A lifelong citizen of metro Atlanta, he attended Atlanta public schools and graduated from old Tech High School (now Henry Grady High School) in February 1946. Mr. Alexander, the only son of Greek immigrant parents, served in the Korean War in 1951 - 1952 in the Second Infantry Division and was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge with one bronze star. He was proud to be an American that served his country in a time of war. Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Martha Alexander; his sister, Mary Janoulis; nephew, Aleck Janoulis; niece, Teri White and husband Chris; great-niece, Jaime White Roberts and husband James; great, great-niece, Isabella Roberts; and many cousins. Funeral services will be held at The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 2500 Clairmont Road on June 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens on Pleasant Hills Road at I-85 in Duluth, GA. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday June 12, 2013 with a Prayer Service at 7 PM at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA.
