Family-Placed Death Notice
ANSON-WEBER, Joan JOAN ANSON-WEBER Joan Anson-Weber, 83, of Roswell, passed away peacefully on Nov. 17, 2010, surrounded by loved ones. Author, poet, and freelance writer, British-born Joan Anson-Weber graduated from St. James' College and the Guildhall School of Music in London. A world traveler, she lived most of her adult life in the United States, where she was widely published. She was given the Louisa Halporn Award for Fiction at the Indiana University
Writer's conference for her children's book, Snuffles. She won many prizes and published two anthologies of verse. She is survived by her husband Richard, her sons Michael and Christopher and their families, and her sister Celia and her family. Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at the Episcopal Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, 1795 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, GA 30062. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of the United States, Dept. HHHONL, 2100 L St. NW, Washington, DC 20037, in support of one of Joan's many treasures, her pet dogs and cats. Family arrangements are under the care and direction of Roswell Funeral Home.
