BASKIN, Ronald REV. RONALD R. BASKIN The Reverend (Col) Ronald R. Baskin, of Roswell, GA, died on March 15, 2012. Ron was the son of Mildred and Noah Baskin. He is survived by his wife Pamela Faison Bell Baskin, children Monica Lovecky (Craig) of Old Orchard Beach ME, Ronald Baskin, Jr. of Bedford TX, John Baskin of Newport Beach CA, Robin McNulty (Matt) of Mesa, AZ and Candace Bell of Woodstock, GA; twelve grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Ron was born on February 29, 1928 in Akron, Ohio. Ron's military career spanned more than 32 years; he retired as a Colonel in 1979. Ron received his Master of Divinity Degree from Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary in 1989. Ron was the Rector of St. Simon of Cyrene, Fort Worth TX until he retired from active ministry in 1996. Ron served as assistant priest at St. Christopher's in Crown Point IN, St. David's in Roswell GA, and Church of the Annunciation, Marietta GA; he also served as supply priest at several parishes in the Diocese of Atlanta. In addition, Ron contributed more than 1000 hours as a Volunteer Chaplain at the Decatur VA Medical Center. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday March 20, at 11:00 AM at Church of the Annunciation in Marietta GA. In lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation Memorial Fund or the Wounded War Veterans Project.
