Sharon MIRIDES

MIRIDES, Sharon Sharon (Louise) Mirides, age 86 of Alpharetta, Georgia and formerly of Canton, Ohio, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on March 11, 2014. Sharon was born in Morgantown, WVA in 1927 to the late John and Blanche Luikart. She graduated from WVU with a degree in Psychology. She married John Mirides and together they had two children, which they raised in Canton, Ohio. She was an active member of Lowell United Church of Christ in Canton, Ohio. She enjoyed her family, especially her granddaughter Kate, reading, politics and crossword puzzles, and was an avid WVU football fan. She had an unforgettable smile. She is survived by her two daughters Ellyn Cote of Miami, Florida and Suzan Donnelly and son-in-law Gene Donnelly, and only Granddaughter Kate Donnelly all of Alpharetta, GA. She is also survived by a sister-in law Janet Mirides of WVA, a niece and 3 nephews and cousins, her dear friends and caregivers Larry and Evelyn Hinson and Jeanie Lucas of Canton Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband John after 52 years of marriage. A private memorial gathering is being held at St. Ives Memory Care in her honor with her wonderful caregivers, nurses and staff from St. Ives Memory Care on Friday, March 21, 2011 at 2:45 pm with Chaplain David Stringer of Agape Hospice. A graveside service will follow at a later date in WVA. In addition the family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all who helped care for her in Canton, Ohio and at Ivy Hall and St. Ives Memory Care, staff of Compassionate Care and Agape Hospices in Alpharetta, GA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to Lowell United Church of Christ; 1802 Clarendon Avenue S.W. Canton, Ohio 44706.
