Ila Garmon Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
GARMON, Ila Ila S. Garmon age 93 of Lilburn passed away March 1, 2012. Mrs. Garmon was the owner of Garmon Beauty College, Lilburn. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Cary and brother, Emmett Smith. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Alan & Cewilla Garmon, Loganville, sisters, Ava Worthy, Summerville and Annie McAbee, Armuchee; grandchildren, Joshua Garmon & Natasha Garmon; and great grandchildren Joshua Garmon and Lakota Garmon. The funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm, Sunday, March 4, 2012 in the R. T. Patterson Chapel with Rev. Cain Hendrix officiating. Interment, Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The visitation will be held on Sunday, 11:00 am to 3:30 pm prior to the service at R. T. Patterson Funeral Home, Lilburn, 770-923-2940.

I think all our good times while I was training at the old school in Tucker. You turned out to be my dearest friend and I'll never forget you. You even gave me the privilege to run your shop behind your home after I graduated. Still have the same "Razor" I used in school. No one cut hair like you, my dear friend. Just read about Mrs. Garmon. With a heavy heart I wish much comfort and send prayers to her family and close friends. I was fortunate enough to be taught under Mrs. Garmon. May she rest peacefully until the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Crusaders class of First Christian Church of Atlanta in Tucker, pray for the family and remember the good times we have had with both Ila and Alice when they were able to attend Sunday School here. We will place a leaf on our Living Tree in memory of both Ila Garmon and Alice Cary.
We are assured that they are at home now and are at peace!
