So sad to just learn this. She was my college friend and a very good friend to me.

I had the pleasure to know Ginger for over a decade. She was always willing to help in any way, no matter how ill she was at the time. She was devoted to the Decatur Book Festival and cared deeply about the importance of writing and literature. She took on the position of Stage Captain at the Book Festival and would volunteer in that role for two long days, even when not feeling well. Ginger was a wonderful volunteer and an outstanding person. I am grateful for the opportunity to know her. My condolences to her family. She cared very much about all of you. Godspeed, Ginger, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ginger was such a vivid presence in my life and that of our whole community. She had such wit and wisdom, coupled with a heart that gave so much and asked so little in return. I am happy I got to share in her life for the years we knew each other and I know I will miss her with all my heart for the rest of mine.

Ginger touched so many hearts near and far. I was continuously inspired by both her giving spirit and her wisdom. The world is a lesser place without her in it, yet she leaves so much behind in the lives of others.

Ginger was a dedicated volunteer/stage captain at the AJC Decatur Book Festival, and I was glad to be able to get to know her through that. I am sorry to hear of her passing. Go on in joy and peace, Ginger. Your spirit blesses us and lives on in our hearts.
