John Champion
January 25, 2004
Floyd and my father, the late,John (Willie) Champion, Sr., were cousins and good friends growing up in Pickins County. My Mother, Kathleen Whidby Champion "thought the world" of Floyd, and cried when she heard he had died. I remember seeing Floyd at some family dinners at (the late) Tom and Laura Champion's house in Jasper, Ga. on the land where Bent Tree is now, when I was young. Also at family reunions. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family.
