I have Freddie's family in my thoughts and prayers. I met Freddie in the late forties, when he as a young man played the piano for my dancing teacher, Trudy Oltman in Charleston SC. He later sat in with my Father's band ( Dimpy Pearson's Orchestra) hear in Charleston. I feel fortunate to have know him. May God's Love and Promise comfort his family during this difficult time. I'm so sorry to learn of Freddie's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him many times, and recording with him at least once. Freddie was a gentleman, and a mighty fine musician.
May he rest in sweet peace.
