It's me Gayle, another year has come. I lost a dear friend about 3 weeks ago,look out for her name is Norma Jean. Whisper in her ear my name,tell her i miss her. So how is the music thing going, the shows must be getting bigger and better. Also tell all my love ones i miss them dearly. I have a few family members birthday coming up on the 14th of July. I still going to my live concerts, this weekend is Gladys Knight and the O'Jays in Aug. Miss you and your voice, just keep singing along side of the other great singer.

I think of you,this passed weekend. My brother and i went to the Hartford,Conn Jazz Fest..Live music what a time we had. July 14 keep singing, for it never gets old. Miss you, heaven must have a lot of outdoor concerts...tell the people i know,that i miss them too.

i know it been a while now, but i think of you on the July 14 every year (today July 13) my brother will be 60 and my great granddaughter will be 9. There are are 4 more from my family with this day b-day. I lost my my last Oct, please sing a song for her. I know you and Bobby must be singing your hearts out up there. Was you able to catch up with Mary and Reggie and Mrs Rena. Shine had a birthday on the 11th..Next time i'm in GA i will stop by to see you. Keep singing your voice will never get old.

Was going thru papers and found Poppa's name. Checked it out on Google.com and sadly found out about Julius's passing. I am in Montreal , Canada and am proud to say Poppa and I spent time here in Canada where I booked him several times. I thought he was working out of Boston in the mid 1960's. I took Poppa into the studio with One of the bands I managed - Dennis Lepage and the Persuaders (AKA "LIME") and we did 2 songs including Tennesse Waltz. I enjoyed his company while he was here in Montreal. My sincerest condolences to all his family , friends and fans. Don Wayne Patterson

I know it's been almost a year, my prayers go out to Lotsa Poppa's family. I wish i had stayed in touch with him more. I will never forget him, and will say a prayer on that day for that is a big day in our family. Sing on brother, Sing on.

Where do I start, I'm Gayle Anderson from Worcester,Ma. I just found out, i was looking you to see where you were and read of your passing, i know you are now at peace. The last time we talked was about 4 yrs ago. I do hope you got the picture i sent of the old group from the KITTY CAT Club.I always thought about you and the band.Your group was one of the first live bands that i saw that when i fellin love with live music. You were one of the best,and had a big heart also. i will think you and never forget you. Oh if you see Miss Mary make sure she meets Bobby, she just might have a plate of those good old pig feet. One last thing "Thank You For Your Love" my favorite song.

My name is Cal Bambi. I met Poppa in Halifax Nova Scotia. We had good times together and played some poker. I told him I was in Agusta Gorgia and he tested me. He asked where did you stay in Agusta. I said The Alamo Plaza, he said you sho,nuff was in Agusta. I will miss him.
