I've known Chuck for years. He was my uncle's dad (Robert Armer). I've always considered him my grandfather, and he always considered me his granddaughter since Gabriela was not born until recently. Grandpa Chuck and I had so many memories together even from when he would come to my christmas shows in preschool to even getting the chance to ride in Darth Vair. When ever I stayed at their house if I wasn't helping Granda Lizzy, I would be in garage with Grandpa Chuck or hanging out in his basement with him. When I found out he had passed away, I was outside in other grandparents backyard taking my dog out that Grandpa Chuck used to love. I was devastated. Even till now I miss him and I will always miss him even when I pass.

Liz and family...my sincere condolences on Chuck's passing. Of all the people I met in CORSA in 38 years, he was one of the best. Always a southern gentleman. I so enjoyed chatting with him at the conventions and online. He is missed.

I am truly sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers. I never met Chuck but knew of him through the Corvair community. Sadly, I'm sure, he will be missed here on Earth, but take comfort in the knowledge that we will all be together and having fun in the Great CORSA Chapter in the sky.

We always enjoyed seeing and speaking with Chuck as we walked through the neighborhood. As one of the "founding fathers" of the still active E H Civic Association, he showed his enthusiasm for our community. We'll think about you as we walk by your house...

Chuck was one of the few guys that competed with me in both the Concours and Autocross at CORSA conventions many times through the years. His scores and times were always the measure I looked to. Many times I would say "Did I beat Chuck?" Me and my Corvairs are better for having known Chuck. I will miss him.

Liz, there are never the right words to adequately express ourselves at a time like this. You remember the first time we met. You and Chuck were on your way to the convention in Buffalo and we had dinner at the Regatta. You and Chuck returned the kindness by taking us under your wings when we all got to Buffalo. What a treat to spend time with both of you. I will always treasure the time we spent together. It seems like only yesterday we were enjoying a meal at the Greek restaurant in Cedar Rapids. The conventions and regionals will never be the same again. I will miss him greatly and I thank God that I was privileged enough to meet both of you,

Chuckster, I only knew you through Corsa and VV, where you kept me amused with your comments and wit. The Corvair world has lost a gem, but it doesn't measure up to what your family has lost. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God's speed my friend, and may "The Force Be With You!" as you take that last drive in Da Vair up to the Pearly Gates. When you get there, let us know what #6000 looks like!

Dear Liz, it is with numbing disbelief and great sorrow that I write this... Chuck was all the things that have made CORSA such a special part of my life. I first met Chuck at the 1998 convention when our club (Show-Me Corvairs) hosted the event. So many great memories flow thur my mind as I think back. Our cars were usually in the same class but it was never more than friendly competition and F-U-N was the name of the game!! And that we had plenty of thanks to Chuck.

May God bless his/her soul and complete all his wishes.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, and know that many are sharing the burden of this great grief. May God bless you, too.

Chuck was a great guy and he will be sorely missed by his friends. He always had an upbeat stance whenever you saw him and his sense of humor (combined with his no-nonsense approach to the world) made him a unique guy. My thoughts go out to his family, and those of us who knew him will certainly never forget him.

Chuck was evidently a wonderful person; I never had the opportunity to meet him, and know that I am now denied knowing someone very special, and who did so much for others. As a Corvair owner in England, I would read his posts on the Corvair forum - always a treat. To his family, my sincere condolences; and to those Corvair owners who knew Chuck, I can only state my great regret at not being fortunate enough to be counted amongst you.
