Family-Placed Death Notice

AUERBACH, Edward Edward Auerbach, 93, of Atlanta, died November 10, 2009. Eddie was born and raised in New York City, where he worked as C.P.A. and served as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Checker Cab Corporation. He was a frequent visitor at the Benson Center in Atlanta and was a Master Duplicate Bridge player. Beloved by all, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Auerbach of Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Patrice Auerbach of NY; sister, Beverlee Shere of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Ben and Joshua; step-children, Kevin, Jill, Todd, and Glenn and their children, Tyler, Allison, Steven, Travis, Dillon, Jared, and Alexandria. A funeral service will be held at11:00 AM, Friday, November 13, 2009 in the chapel of Dressler's Jewish Funeral Care, 3734 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Atlanta with Rabbi Scott Saulson officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, 1440 Spring Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30309.
