Hi Mona, I just learned of Leonard's passing. I remember meeting you both at Milan's a few years ago as Jim Munson invited me to come. I introduced myself to Leonard that night and really enjoyed his company and insight. He was a really good person and always had time for me which I was very appreciative of. He will be missed.

Leonard was a reflection of all that is good about the culture of Atlanta, the South, and indeed America. He was a big man both in a physical sense and in the sense of what he accomplished, what he meant to his family, his friends, and his community. Although I only had the pleasure of his company a few times he was the kind of person you feel you have known all your life. I always felt his never failing optimism, his warmth and his charm. It was a sincere pleasure to know him and Aysil, Esra and I would like to extend our sincerest condolences with our dear friend Mona and with all of his family.

He was a friend to many and a helping hand to all those he touched. He was truly the world's greatest optomist. He was loved and admired by all who knew him. May his family know that he touched me and my family in very positive ways and our community will be smaller without his presence.
