Family-Placed Death Notice

SFC Patrick David Applin, U.S. Army (Ret.) died September 9, 2005 at Fairfax Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Seila Applin; two daughters, Melissa and Selah Applin; one son, Patrick David Applin, II; his mother, Willie Belle Applin of Atlanta, GA; his mother-in-law, Lizzie McFadden of Rochester, NY; his grandmother, Ruth Applin of Kingston, GA; one sister, Jacqueline Underwood of Atlanta, GA; four sisters-in-law, Katherine Mosely of Tampa, FL, Mattie Ford of Grand Raphids, MI, Evelyn McFadden of Rochester, NY and Natalie Thomas of Rochester, NY; four brothers, Donnell, Kennard, Henry and Ron Applin all of Atlanta, GA; and brother-in-law, Jackie McFadden of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13th from 6-9 PM at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 14th, at Citadel Worship Assembly, 18763 Fuller Heights Rd., Triangle, VA. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, September 27th at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Citadel Worship Assembly.
