Dearest Barbara,
I don't know what led to check out Fred's name this morning , but I did. And I was so sad to hear that this lovely man is no longer making this world a better place.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Barbara. I truly came to care for Fred through the years he gifted you with tokens from Topaz Gallery. He was exemplary and I will miss our conversations on airplanes and the industry.
I hope you are doing well and I send you my love and will keep you in my thoughts and my prayers.
Warmly,
Peter Embarrato

I was saddened to see the obit in the paper yesterday. Fred was a truly special memorable person for his friendly ways. Dario always was impressed and he and Fred had a good relationship while flying Delta and beyond. You were fortunate to have found each other. I'm sure that your wonderful family will see you thru these difficult times of adjustment. Wishing you fond memories and God's blessings. My sympathy to you and the family. Beth

To The Johansen Family:
It is often with great sadness that we say goodbye to a loved one in death. Though we know death will happen in our lifetime, we're never truly prepared for it when it does. We can find true comfort in the words at Hosea 13:14. I offer my deepest condolences to you at this difficult time.

Mr J. was truly one of a kind. What a beautiful obituary and tribute to a great man. I was fortunate to spend a good bit of time around Mr J. as I was growing up and into adulthood. I learned so much about kindness, respect and creativity from him. When you were in his home, you were part of his family and he made sure you knew he cared, always reminding us to wear our seatbelt or grab a coat (there is a bit of a chill our there...I can still hear him say). To Mrs. J. and the entire family, you have my thoughts and prayers....and my thanks for sharing him with all of us!

Oh Fred. I'm so sorry you had to go through that sickness here at the end of a most wondrous life.
My memories are too many to express...but in my heart I hear your words and that smile..no one will ever forget that smile.
I just know you are in Haven and have caught up with Jim. If there is any project needing attention in Heaven, I'm sure you two can handle it together.
I'm praying for comfort and peace for your loving family and the many folks who called you friend!
Thank you for being a special light in all our lives.
