Angela, I woke up this morning thinking about Randy. His face was beaming with a smile, just like I remembered him when I´d see him in the hallway or at a meeting. Just wanted you to know his memory is still alive in my heart. With love, Maria Britt Downs

Thank you and your family for being a wonderful and best friend/ brother to my mom, Deloris! You all have always been a staple in her life! I remember when she 1st introduced me to you at the 190th MP Unit. I was 12. Thank you for being a father figure to me. You and Dr. Angela are the epitome of what a black marriage is. I admired that when I was growing up. Nothing but love, warmth, and judge free zone. My mom used to giggle and admire on how she would say, "Angela would always cook up a storm." True story, I remember when were invited to dinner and you could not see tge table cloth because there were so much food.. There were alot of laughs and very little tears, but I.m honored that I had The Smith family as a part of our lives. ~Tiffany

We are very close friends with Randy's sister-in-law and met his wife on several occasions. We want to express our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Randy L. Smith. The conversations we had with his wife, Angela, left no doubt that he was an enormous presence in everyone's life he touched. A "soldier's soldier"!!! He will be truly missed.

I think of one word when I think of Randy Smith "gentleman". He was my co-worker at the US Department of State and a friend. To his wife and sons, he was so proud of all of you and spoke of you all in the most highest regards. I will miss Randy and may he rest in the loving arms of our heavenly Father.
