Family-Placed Death Notice
DeLORENZO, Robert Robert C. DeLorenzo passed away suddenly on October 26, 2013 in Duluth, GA. Rob was born in Hackensack, NJ on November 17, 1958 to William and Helen DeLorenzo, Sr. He graduated from Paramus Catholic High School, Paramus, NJ, and received his BA at Iona College, New Rochelle, NY. Rob was a devout Roman Catholic and a member of St. Monica's Parish, Duluth, GA. He was employed by ADT Corporation and a longtime employee of The Atlanta Journal and Constitution. Rob is survived by his wife of 23 years, Anne L. DeLorenzo, daughter Grace DeLorenzo; son, William T. DeLorenzo, III, all of Duluth, GA. He is also survived by his parents, William and Helen DeLorenzo, Sr., NJ; sisters and brothers: Susan (John) Bertram, MA; Ellen DeLorenzo, NY; William T. DeLorenzo II, NJ; Michael DeLorenzo, NJ; Jeanne Marzitelli, NJ; Thomas (Carolyn) DeLorenzo, NJ; James (Jessica) DeLorenzo, NY and Edmund (Laura) DeLorenzo, NJ along with numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a funeral Mass, officiated by Father Jack Durkin, at 10:30 AM on October 31, 2013 at St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, Duluth, GA followed by a reception at Lyke Hall (church.) Interment after the reception will be at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Memorial Gardens-Mausoleum, Norcross, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with an 8:30 p.m. Rosary Vigil at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, Duluth, GA. To Mrs. DeLorenzo,Will and Grace,
I cannot tell you how surprise I was tonite when I heard the priest at St Monica referring to Rob DeLorenzo who recently passed away. I rushed home to check facebook to confirm it was the Rob I knew. I met him at BB Harris Elementary school where Grace and Will attended and saw him many times at St Patrick then St Monica. He was a very nice person and a loving father.
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. May God help you get through this difficult time. God bless you and the children.

Bob, You were a pillar of the community when I met you at St. Patrick's, and you continued to be so when your path took you to St. Monica's... We lost touch for a while then I saw you delivering newspapers at Sugarloaf when I was working overnights. I know you're in the good place. Rob was always one of my favorite people at St. Patrick Church in Norcross. He was sweet kind and such a gentleman to all who encountered him. Getting to know him during my time in GA was and always will be a blessing to me and my family. May you and your family be comforted during this difficult time with God's grace and peace. Our condolences to Rob's family. Rob was a neighbor to our son, Ben. Rob, usually accompanied by Riley, would stop to visit with us if we were out in the yard. We all enjoyed those chats.

To the DELORENZO Family (Little Italy, Twinkle Toe, & The Great Willy D)...My prayers go out to you guys. You have Always been a bright spot in my life since joining the Duluth Family. The many laughs and memories will Never be forgotten. Although this is a difficult time for you, you have to be strong for Rob's sake. Just hold onto the good times that he left with you while on this side. It's not our place to question GOD, but do know that he's in a better place now...one where there'll be no more sorrow, no more heartaches, no more tears or worries, but an abundance of Sunshine and Joy!
