Robert TOSTON Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
TOSTON, Robert Mr. Robert G. Toston, 63, of Marietta, GA passed away September 5, 2013. Robert honorably served in the United States Army as a decorated pilot during the Vietnam War. He attended the Florida Air Academy and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. Robert enjoyed a 25 year career with Delta Air Lines. He leaves behind his mother, Joyce Rutherford and daughter, Leslie Joan Toston. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 10:00am at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the Humane Society of Cobb County, 148 Fairground St SE, Marietta, GA 30060, (770) 428-5678, www.humanecobb.com. Mrs. Rutherford and Leslie,
John and I just heard about Robert's death yesterday. Robert was an amazing friend in high school to both of us. He was the best man at our wedding. Although our keeping in touch was sketchy, we loved our conversations with him over the years.

I regularly flew with Bob (his FO). We were paired together month after month after month.
We spent long hours talking over every issue under the sun. He was a great guy and we kept in touch long after we both retired.

I was in Bob's Delta Airlines class in NOV 1979. He was a good guy. I always enjoyed seeing him over the years flying through Atlanta. God Bless Bob and his family.
