Simply stated, Carl was just a great guy with whom to fly. I always enjoyed my travels with him. He was one of those people who made my career with Delta so enjoyable.

My condolences to the McCallum family. Carl was fun to fly with and the ultimate Delta professional. A great sense of humor.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. Carl was voted the "Class Clown" in our high school. Everyone loved him and he loved everyone. I will miss him greatly.

What a great man... there are no words to truly express how blessed he was; his kind, energetic soul and loving nature are rarely surpassed. We were so fortunate to know Mr./family for the past 4 decades. His encouraging advise and great wisdom I will never forget.
Rest in Peace...

Dear Marilyn and family,
I send my prayers and sympathy to all of you.
Carl was a shining example of a graduate of USNA and I will never forget his involvement with the annual Lobsterfest and all the work he put into it.

We so enjoyed sharing the table with Carl & lovely Marilyn at the USNA alumni dinners, Army/Navy game gatherings and Lobsterfest! Very fond memories. Our hearts and prayers are with you all asking Him for comfort and solace during this difficult time.

Dearest McCallum Family,
The legacy that Mr. McCallum has left behind is a world better for him having been in it. You all have shared a lifetime of happiness with me - your hospitality, kindness, the laughs brought on by family stories, and your genuine love of each other - a true sense of family. All of these things are a direct reflection of the wonderful man, Carl McCallum. You hold a special place in my heart and it breaks with grief but I pray that God will ease your pain with the thought of Carl in heaven. God bless you all.
With Love,
RIck

I flew with Carl when a young new-hire at Delta. He was one of the finest gentlemen and most professional pilots I had the pleasure to work with. Over the years, I maintained my friendship with Carl until his retirement and lost track. I am so very sad to hear of his passing.

Carl was a true USNA classmate. Right from the start at Pensacola in the infamous OI-20 you could always count on him to be in the center of action. The world is a bit smaller with his passing. He is missed

Carl was a well liked classmate of all his friends at Mariemont High School in Cincinnati. He had a quick wit and made all of us laugh at his impersonations and jokes. He was labeled our class clown. He will be missed by many of us who attended his high school with graduation in 1955. We send our condolences to his large family. We will miss his smile and laughter.
