C.C. was a good guy, better cop. His sideways glances were unforgettable. He will be missed.

Dear Pam and Family,
I was saddened to learn of Chris's passing. Although I only met Chris in 2001 I felt I've known him much longer. As a shipmate, fellow police officer and deer hunter we had much in comon and I regarded Chris as a true friend.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Pam
I shall miss Chris immensely as he was an avid deer hunter and a "honest cop" when it came to law enforcement. We always tried to outdo each other every deer season and I will have to admit, he usually beat me on trophy bucks. It was a pleasure to work with him at DKPD for many many years.
I know full well that we were "dinosaurs in law enforcement community" but we always did the right thing, even when no one was looking. We took great care of those in need and of our brother officers. We enjoyed our job and would have worked for nothing if need be to serve our duties.
Chris Young will always remain in my memories until my death. He was principled and followed the "oath of office" at all times. It goes without saying....."he was one of the good guys" at the DeKalb Department of Public Satefy. I pride myself in saying that I was also a member of that group.
It did my heart good to see that your husband was a "fellow Mason" with his offical apron on in the burial casket. Although I was not aware that he was a "brother" in the lodges, I should have known it as he performed his duties without question while in the police department. I am frustrated at the loss of my friend who served so well.
True to the code, please tell me what I may do to help you in this time of loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and thank you for providing Chris many supportive years of "happy marriage."
We all shall miss him so, but yet, are encouraged by his tenacious fight against illness and the ability to enjoy life to it's fullest in the final years. You should be very proud of him. I am certainly so inclined and only hope I can serve in a similar fashion for my children and friends.

Pam and family,
We were truly saddened to hear about Chris. John enjoyed working with him at DKPD. Chris' sense of humor and his words of encouragement meant a lot to John as he too fights the big battle. Please know that you and your family are still in our prayers. May God comfort you in the days ahead.
With deepest sympathy, Joyce and John Ledbetter
