George DeLUCIA Obituary

Family-Placed Death Notice

DeLUCIA, George George Angelo DeLucia passed quietly surrounded by loved ones on September 17, 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia. Born in Rochester, NY on August 15, 1935, George grew up in Los Angeles, lived in New England, New York and Chicago but called Atlanta home for over 40 years. George's passion was sales. His true talent was making every person recognize their own potential and developing marketing results. His ability to connect with people allowed him to sell everything from encyclopedias to computers, and built award winning sales forces from Russia to Los Angeles. Dedicated to his faith, he volunteered at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at the Cathedral of Christ the King. George lived life with boundless enthusiasm and unparalleled dedication to his friends and family. George was never one to let the grass grow beneath his feet and was always awake before the donuts were made. George never met a challenge that he wouldn't face and was always up for the program and was the life of the party. The stories are countless and memorable. George created a fan club of friends near and far and membership into the club was to receive one of his famous nicknames. His most cherished moments were spent with his loved ones. He was the rock of their lives. Preceded in death by his parents Clara Amato and Angelo DeLucia. Survived by: his beloved wife of 32 years, Dee Stewart; his Sister Olga (Ugo) Pascarella; his children Jimi (Harry) Unsworth, Georgan Delucia, Janet (Louis) Cimmino, Andria (Burton) Lewis, Brooks (Jason) Stewart. His four grandchildren, adored nieces, nephews and cousins completed his beautiful family. Services will be held at Cathedral of Christ the King, 2699 Peachtree Road, N.E. Atlanta, GA 30305 at 10:30 AM on Friday September 20th, 2013. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Red Cross as George was proud to be a regular blood donor.
