Family-Placed Death Notice
WALKER, Glenroy, Jr. GLENROY ROLSTON WALKER, JR. Glenroy Rolston Walker, Jr., 35, of Duluth, GA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 22, 2011. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3rd, at Norcross First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, December 2nd, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Glen, born in Queens, NY, was a 1994 graduate of Norcross High School and a 1998 graduate of the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor's degree. He worked as a senior insurance analyst with the Everest Security Insurance Company in Alpharetta, GA. Glen was an active member of several sports leagues in the metro Atlanta area and was truly a great man, loving husband, devoted father, wonderful son and a great friend to all. He is survived by his wife, Sandra June, son, Cameron Joseph and daughter, Alana June, all of Duluth, GA; parents, Glenroy and Pamella Walker of Norcross, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Michelle Walker of Duluth, GA; and maternal grandmother, Florence Ernestine Joseph of St. Johns, Antigua. I never met Glen but, in some small way, I feel like I know him from the loving words of his friends. Glen must have been a truly wonderful person with a beautiful smile. Heaven has gained a truly wonderful angel.

Even though I haven't seen Glen since 1999 all I could remember is his beautiful smile. My heart is truly sad, that words can not express. I feel your grief and pain my prayers are with you all Pam,Glen and Michael be strong in the Lord this is something we can not understand. To Glen's family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Glen was a wonderful person. I had the pleasure of working with him at Infinity. I was so impressed with how smart Glen was. He always shared a smile that could melt the coldest heart. May God keep you and comfort you in your time of sorrow.

I had the pleasure of knowing Glen and playing with and against him for many years in flag football leagues. He was an amazing person and friend. His smile will be missed but will live on in Cameron.

I had the opportunity to start on our varsity soccer team my sophmore year because Glen opted to sit out his senior season. I don't know why he did, but it certainly made high school better for me. I have always been so fond of Glen. He was one of those guys that was just always nice. It is surprising to me how hard it is for someone to be "nice" all the time without letter the pressures and stresses of your day to day life interfere. I saw him recently and it was like no time had passed. I actually came home and told my wife how I wanted to reconnect with him and have our families meet and spend time together. Funny, even after not seeing him in nearly 20 years, I find myself deeply saddened with the loss.
