Family-Placed Death Notice
Mrs. Idelle Carver Cantrell, age 83, of 170 Cantrell Loop, Cedartown, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2005. Mrs. Cantrell was born November 5, 1921 in Floyd County and was a member of the Lake Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Ernest and Annie Ruth Huckaby Carver; husband, Norman Porter Cantrell; brother, Ed Carver; sister, Martha Jo Blair. Surviving are sons: Tom Cantrell of Cedartown; Otis Cantrell and Porter Cantrell, both of Chattanooga, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and JuDon Baldwin of Cedartown; and Connie and Randy Rimes of Mableton; brothers: Ernest Carver and Hubert Carver, both of Lindale; and Bill Carver of Rome; sister, Opal Kilgo of Silver Creek; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Idelle C. Cantrell was conducted Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Frasier, officiating with interment to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Idelle Carver Cantrell.
